These are the ancient shopping areas, typical across the mid-east. These are the predecessor to the modern malls. They have general Souks that carry a large variety of items, but also some specialize in single items like gold, fish, meat, perfume, spice, and textile. Bargaining over the prices is expected and encouraged. My strategy eas to cut the price in half and then start negotiation from there.
